The Voice Season 24 returned on Tuesday night for the final round of Knockouts, as the coaches finished putting their teams together for next week’s Live Playoffs. John Legend finally used his save during this episode, and host Carson Daly announced a new rule change.

John Legend Finally Uses Save in The Voice Knockouts
Tuesday’s episode began with an incredible Knockout between three Team Legend artists. First up was Mac Royals, who showed off great stage presence on “Lost Without U” by Robin Thicke. Next was Taylor Deneen, who brought down the house with “Sweet Thing” by Chaka Khan and Rufus. Then Brandon Montel took the stage for a soulful rendition of “Nobody Gets Me” by SZA.
Ultimately, Legend chose Mac Royals as the winner of the Knockout, keeping him on his team for the Playoffs. However, the coach still had his save left to use. He chose to use it to keep Taylor Deneen on his team as well. Unfortunately, Brandon was eliminated.
It took Legend until the end of the Knockouts to finally use both his steal and his save. During Monday’s episode, he hit his steal button three times before he finally got Kristen Brown on his team. She performed “This One’s for the Girls” by Martina McBride in a Knockout on Team Gwen.

Carson Daly Announces a New Rule Change This Season
Tuesday’s episode ended with an amazing Knockout between three artists on Team Niall. First was Alexa Wildish, who put a unique spin on “Believe” by Cher. That was followed by Julia Roome’s powerful take on Sia’s “Unstoppable.” Finally, Lennon Vanderdoes gave a heartfelt performance of “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz.
The Knockout ended with John Legend and Gwen Stefani in tears. Legend told Niall Horan, “I’m so upset with you, Niall.” All three artists were amazing, but there were no steals or saves left, so only one of them could stay in the competition. Ultimately, Niall chose Alexa as the winner, saying she “could potentially win this.”
At the very end of the show, The Voice host Carson Daly told the coaches that the show had decided to change the rules this season. The show teased that each coach will get to bring back one eliminated artist from any team. Who do you hope to see again? Let us know in the comments below.
