Simon Cowell was rushed to the hospital following a second electric bike accident. The talent show mogul was flung over his handlebars and onto the road at 20 mph. It was reported that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

When he arrived at the hospital, it was suspected that he had a concussion and a broken arm. Witnesses have shared that the celebrity is lucky to be alive. As of now, Cowell is resting and currently has a cast on his arm.

The 62-year-old’s most recent e-bike accident happened near his home in West London. This accident happened 18 months after his last e-bike accident that resulted in a broken back and time away from America’s Got Talent.

Cowell’s bike crash took place on Jan 27, the day after Britain’s Got Talent wrapped filming its latest season’s auditions. The series is set to begin in April, so it seems like the judge will not miss any on-screen time this year.

The BGT judge will now be filming promotions for the upcoming season from the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Fans will defintely know what was filmed remotely since Cowell’s bright yellow cast is pretty hard to miss. His seven year old son has already added decorations to his cast.

Simon Cowell’s Previous Electric Bike Accident Left Him with a Broken Back

Cowell’s first e-bike accident happened in August 2020. He got injured while trying out a new £10,000 e-bike near his Los Angeles home. Cowell underwent a six hour back surgery following the accident. In the surgery, the talent show mogul had a metal rod inserted into his back. As a result, Cowell sat out multiple episodes of AGT.

We’re hoping such will not be the case for the upcoming 17th season of AGT. As of now, the hit show does not have a premiere date, but it is expected to return this summer.
