It’s been a stressful few days for former Dancing with the Stars contestant Jimmie Allen and his wife Alexis Allen. Both of their daughters have been sick, and their 5-week-old baby Zara was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after she stopped breathing.
Earlier in the week, Alexis shared that they were turned away from the hospital and that doctors weren’t listening to their concerns. Jimmie echoed this sentiment in his social media posts about the situation on Tuesday night.
Jimmie Allen’s Baby Daughter Zara Rushed to Hospital
Jimmie wrote about the terrifying experience on social media. He called out the initial doctors who turned his wife away at the hospital earlier in the day.
The singer wrote that his daughter Zara had been sent home by “lazy doctors” from a hospital in Tennessee. She later “lost color and stopped breathing.” Zara was rushed to another hospital, and Jimmie thanked “the amazing EMT team” that helped her breathe.
Alexis gave birth to Zara last month when Jimmie was still a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. The couple also share a 20-month-old daughter named Naomi, and Jimmie has a 7-year-old son named Aadyn from a previous relationship.

Alexis Allen Says Their Children Were Turned Away from the Hospital
Alexis, who is a registered nurse, shared on Sunday that both Zara and Naomi were sick. As she wrote on Instagram stories at the time, “Two sick babies. One exhausted mama.”
Then on Monday, Alexis wrote: “Turned away by hospital yesterday AM Ambulance at 2AM. Basically if your child isn’t blue at the lips they will not have answers for you. That’s been my last 24 hours.” She added, “Not one doctor has taken the time to actually listen and make sure she’s really okay – 10 min in and outs [sic]. What this nurse mama is seeing/hearing is so frightening.”
We’re glad the EMTs were able to help Zara, and we hope everything continues to go well. Jimmie posted on Twitter Tuesday that it was going to be “a rough night.”
