Dancing with the Stars pro Emma Slater recently took to Instagram to share some thoughts about her love of dance. The post features photos of her fellow pro dancer Gleb Savchenko. However, Slater made sure to clarify that she and Savchenko are not dating.
Emma Slater Clarifies She’s Not Dating Gleb Savchenko
Earlier this week, Slater posted a pair of photos to Instagram in which she can be seen performing a steamy dance routine with her fellow DWTS pro Gleb Savchenko. In the caption, she called dancing “a suspenseful way to hold energy.”
“I feel like sometimes it’s like holding my breath. And I find that I don’t blink so much when I’m watching my partner,” Slater wrote. “I think that’s because my body is dropping in and listening directly to the unknown movements from another person.”
Slater made sure to add a comment to the post in which she clarifies that she and Savchenko are “not dating,” and the post “isn’t a soft or hard launch.” She added that they are simply “good friends who dance.”
Before she made the comment, some fans seemed to get the wrong idea, with one user actually questioning if it was a hard launch. Others seemed to think Slater might be hinting at a romance.

Fans Were Already Shipping the Pair
This isn’t the first time fans have thought there might be something going on between Slater and Savchenko. Last month, Slater visited Savchenko in Las Vegas to support his run with Chippendales. She posted a few photos posing with him by the pool.
Fans in the comments remarked that they were shipping the pair, with one telling them to “get married already,” adding that they’re “so perfect together.” Another user wrote they they thought the post was a “hard launch” at first.
Slater has been shipped with a number of men since her split from husband and fellow pro Sasha Farber. Those men include her DWTS partners Trevor Donovan and Mauricio Umansky. Fans also speculated that she might be dating fellow pro Alan Bersten last year.
