Performing with her father since she was three years old, America’s Got Talent Season 15 star, Roberta Battaglia, sang throughout Canada to prepare her for one of the biggest stages in America. Her audition video has garnered over 33 million views on Youtube so far. Where is the internet sensation now?

Before taking center stage on the hit competition show, Roberta performed Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s Oscar winning song, ‘Shallow,’ on the Canadian morning show, Breakfast Television. That performance racked up over 600,000 views, with one commenter suggesting that she should audition for America’s Got Talent.

Although she eventually came in 4th place on AGT at just 10 years old, Roberta’s talent was beyond her years. The power in her voice was heard by millions of viewers when she auditioned in 2020. Ultimately, the young star earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Sofia Vergara, sending her straight through to the quarterfinals.

Although there were complications that year regarding production around Covid-19, Roberta prepared for the live shows by practicing day in and day out. When it was time for the show’s quarterfinals, Roberta had perfected her rendition of Lauren Daigle’s ‘You Say.’ She received a standing ovation from the judges, which included guest judge, Kelly Clarkson. Roberta’s performance earned her enough votes to move on to the semifinals.

AGT Sensation Stays Busy After the Show

Roberta’s successful run during Season 15 continued with standing ovations following her performances of Pink’s ‘What About Us,’ and Alessia Cara’s ‘Scars to Your Beautiful.’ When the results were announced during the finale, Roberta came behind Brandon Leake, Broken Records, and Cristiana Rae.

“It has meant so, so much to me,” she said during her goodbye speech. “Thank you, everyone, for your support. I mean, this is only the beginning.”

Only the beginning indeed. Soon after the finale, Roberta took part in Ross Petty’s 2020 holiday production ‘There’s No Place Like Home… for the Holidays,’ in her hometown of Toronto. Due to the pandemic, the production was recorded virtually.

These days, the 12 year old singer can be found performing covers such as Adele’s ‘When We Were Young.’ The Canadian-born singer continues to work on music performing at large-scale gala events, outdoor fairs, festivals, weddings, and birthday parties.

Roberta also gives back to those in need. In 2020, she launched her own charitable initiative, designing and making bracelets. All of the proceeds are given to Toronto’s SickKids Hospital, and she has already donated over $3,000.

“It’s about kids helping kids,” she says on her website “I just want to see people smile. I love making everyone happy.”
